Your pack. Don't slack.
NYC K9 Dog Academy specializes in obedience through advanced programs — service dogs and protection work — built to give you your life back. We train in our private gated destination or in the comfort of your home, traveling throughout every NYC borough.
Our Services
From basic obedience to military-grade protection.
01
Basic Obedience Training
Foundation commands — sit, stay, heel, down — leash manners, and crate training for puppies four months and younger, in the comfort of your home.
The bedrock of a well-mannered dog. We shape reliable obedience, impulse control, and household etiquette. Virtual coaching via WhatsApp and Zoom is available for basic obedience, with free short training videos to reinforce the work at home.
02
Protection Dog Programs
Advanced personal-protection training with controlled defensive skills and unwavering obedience — three tiers from a fundamental deterrent to elite military-grade.
From a full iron deterrent to family and elite military-grade protection dogs. Every dog is assessed for prey drive first, and obedience is a prerequisite. We use balanced methods and specialized protection equipment, teaching bite, hold, and release on cue.
03
Behavior Modification
Individualized work for red-zone and traumatized dogs — fear aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety, phobias, and PTSD.
We assess every case individually and redirect unwanted behaviors — jumping, barking, lunging — through proven, balanced methods. Puppy aggression around food and toys is addressed immediately, before it escalates. We train owners to lead as the alpha of the pack.
04
Service Dog Training
ADA-compliant service dogs for medical needs — retrieving, carrying, and medical-alert tasks to mitigate your life's needs.
Federally protected under the ADA, our service dogs perform at least one specialized task and are public-access ready. We cover retrieving and carrying tasks, medical and psychiatric alert, and multi-task training — all built around your personal needs.
05
Private Lessons
One-on-one coaching at our private gated training destination or in your home, tailored to your dog's temperament and your goals.
Focused, personalized sessions that move at your dog's pace — ideal for behavioral concerns or specific goals. Sessions include four to six free short training videos so you can repeat the work at home and build a stronger bond with your dog.

Elite Protection
The highest tier — the dog is taught to disarm a threat and will bite on command, with full control, release, and recall. Military-grade training for serious protection needs.
